Merrimac Shores

Hampton

This established waterfront community has phenomenal water views, gorgeous tree-lined streets, an adjacent marina, and charming homes of varied architecture, including cape cod, victorian, tudor, and colonial homes. This area is rich with history. In fact, Merrimac Shores is named in honor of the first Confederate ironclad, U.S.S. Merrimac, which battled the union fleet at Hampton Roads in 1862. The Homeowners Association is optional, and the fee is $35 per year. The marina carries an extra fee. Just minutes from downtown, Langley AFB, I-64, and the Hampton Roads Bridge Tunnel.
